In Gironde, at 15minutes of Bordeaux, the castle of Vayres (XIII°-XVI°-XVII° centuries) is one of the most beautiful edifices of Aquitaine. It was owned by the family of Albret, and its illustrious representative the king Henri the fourth.
Ancient stronghold of the Middle age, on the side of the Dordogne which it dominates, Vayres has been harmoniously reorganised at the Renaissance, then in 1700.
The castle of Vayres, historical classified edifice, which the park received the label of remarkably garden, is a private property which had always been occupied. The successive owners did their best, with passion to look after it.
